| By the way, if the BCS rankings were extended, OU would be #34. Oklahoma's three losses are to TCU (#18, 7-1), UCLA (#6, 7-0), and Texas (#1 this week but barely, 7-0). The combined record of the three teams that beat OU is 21-1, so most of the computers rank OU in the mid-20s.

| With today's 31-24 victory over Nebraska in Lincoln, the Sooners are now 5-3.
Odd trivia: Baylor was 4-2 coming into last week's game, and OU was 3-3, so OU's victory gave both teams the same record (4-3). Nebraska was 5-2 before today, and OU was 4-3, so today's victory again gave both teams the same record (5-3).
Next week is an open date for the Sooners. Their next opponent is Texas A&M, in Norman, on November 12. The "same record" thing can't repeat - the Aggies' open date is November 19, so they'll either be 5-4, 6-3, or 7-2 coming into Norman, having played one more game than OU has. Oh well. Right now, A&M is 5-2, but behind 35-14 at home against Iowa State with about 10 minutes left in the game.
Update: Make that 42-14 with 5:24 left.

| If the BCS rankings were fully computed, OU would be #25 this week.
