Don't go crazy now

In the Sunday Oklahoman, sports columnist Berry Tramel writes about the possibility of OU seeking another annual game in Dallas if Texas pulls out of the Red River Rivalry, to keep the team's profile high in Texas. In speculating about that, he writes:

OU could play Texas A&M. The Aggies have crazier fans and a better band, and the Sooners wouldn't have to go to Kyle Field's house of mirrors.

He means that the Aggies have a "better band" than Texas, not than OU. Tramel doesn't get paid enough to justify the headache if he meant it the other way. Just to pre-empt any outrage. :-):

Update: The Dallas Morning News reports that OU and Texas have signed a contract with the Cotton Bowl and the Texas State Fair to play the OU-Texas game in Dallas through 2010.
