OU now sits alone atop the Big XII South with a 5-0 conference record, followed by Texas A&M and Texas each at 4-1, OSU and Texas Tech at 3-2, and Baylor at 1-4.
Nebraska’s 24-3 win over Missouri places the Huskers alone atop the Big XII North with a 3-2 conference record. They’re followed by Missouri and Iowa State at 2-3. Colorado, Kansas, and Kansas State are all tied at the bottom with 1-4 conference records.
The Sooners next travel to Kyle Field to play the Aggies at 2:30 PM CST on November 6. OU then returns to Owen Field on November 13 for the final home game of the 2004 season, hosting the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
OU clinches the Big XII South with a win at Texas A&M and a Texas loss, or with a win at Texas A&M and a win against either Nebraska or Baylor. The Big XII North is still wide open, but Nebraska controls its own destiny. If Nebraska wins out, or even wins two but loses to OU in Norman, the Huskers win the Big XII North even if Missouri wins out because Nebraska won the head-to-head matchup today.
The final home game on November 13 could be a Big XII Championship preview. The Pride is preparing yet another new show with some classic Pride centennial tunes, so be sure to turn out if you have tickets!
